You've always wanted to output analog voltages from a microcontroller—the MCP4725 lets you do it! The CJMCU-MCP4725 is an I²C-controlled digital-to-analog converter (DAC). A DAC allows you to generate analog signals, such as sine waves, from a digital source like the I²C interface on a microcontroller. DACs are ideal for sound generation, musical instruments, and many other electronics projects. This version of the CJMCU-MCP4725 breakout board improves upon earlier designs with an updated IC footprint, corrected I²C pinout, optimized board dimensions for better integration, and other minor enhancements. The board breaks out all essential pins for using the MCP4725, including GND and analog output (VOUT) for connecting to an oscilloscope or other test equipment. Also included are SCL, SDA, VCC, and an additional GND for standard I²C connectivity.
