Digital Light Sensor Module with High Dynamic Range and IR Infrared Full Spectrum Diodes Detection

The TSL2591 light sensor is a digital light sensor designed for accurate ambient light measurement across a wide range of lighting conditions. Compared to basic cadmium sulfide (CdS) photoreistors, it offers higher accuracy for lux calculations and supports configurable gain and integration time settings. It features both infrared and full-spectrum photodiodes, enabling measurements of infrared, full-spectrum, or visible light. The sensor provides an extremely high dynamic range of up to 600 million:1. The I2C address is fixed at 0x29 and cannot be changed. The module includes an onboard voltage regulator and operates within a supply voltage range of 3.3V to 5.0V. It integrates a 16-bit ADC, making it compatible with microcontrollers lacking analog inputs. Operating current is approximately 0.4mA; power-down current is less than 5μA.
